DETAILS:
We love supporting traveling puppeteers. Going to be in the area? Have a short
slam piece or even a full-length performance but don’t know where to perform in
Central FL? Let us help.
We are very interested in fostering travel experiences, both for our own performers and for performers looking to come to Florida. We considering different means of realizing this, including the possibility of developing a guide to help traveling performers find free or inexpensive lodgings, free/inexpensive meals, and offset their expenses with paid daytime gigs.

The intent of our slam is
to allow artists from various disciplines to experiment with the
production of puppetry-related works designed for adult audiences:
providing them with a supportive network of creative professionals as
well as with an audience (short-form experimental performance pieces
might otherwise never find an outlet for expression to an audience).
The secondary intent of
this project is to establish a destination for traveling artists to
display their talents to the Central Florida populace within the Slam
format, both enriching our local audiences by providing them with an
affordable model to view otherwise unavailable live puppetry works and
strengthening the connection between Central Florida area artists with
those working within the puppetry discipline worldwide.
